University of Witwatersrand (WITS) now open for 2025 Application

The University of Witwatersrand, also known as Wits, has announced that it is officially open for 2025 applications. WITS university  opened their  2025 Application from the second of  April 2024.

Please note : You can only apply for a maximum of 3 programmes 
- if you apply for 2 programmes in one faculty you are advised to apply a third program in a less restricted faculty such as ( commerce , Humanities or science )

° ID copy (certified)
° Senior Certificate/ National senior certificate or equivalent ( certified copy)
°Grade 11 report ( certified) if you're currently in matric

NB: Submission of this documents is compulsory failure to submit this documents will lead your application not being considered.

Applicants must meet the entry requirements of university of Witwatersrand-2025 Applications

Before starting your application process, it is essential to familiarize yourself with the requirements. Wits has strict criteria for admission into its programs, and meeting these requirements is crucial to your acceptance. For undergraduate programs, applicants need to have completed their National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent with an APS (Admission Point Score) of at least 32 points. They must also meet specific subject requirements for their chosen program.

For postgraduate programs, applicants are required to have completed a relevant undergraduate degree with a minimum average of 65%. However, some programs may have specific requirements such as work experience or additional entrance exams. It is imperative to check with the respective faculty or department for any specific requirements.

Note : that only one Matric upgrade/rewrite attempt is considered. Applicants upgrading/rewriting Matric subjects for a second time will be unsuccessful.

2. Create an account of you're a new student
3. Login with your temporary ID and password
4. Complete your online application
5. Upload supporting documents
6. Submit your application

- South African citizen R100
- Foreign Citizen R700

All the applicants must pay the non refundable Application fee to have their application  considered they must pay before the closing date.

• 30 June - for. Health science ; bachelor of architectural studies, bachelor of Audiology , Bachelor of speech- language pathology, BA film and TV
• 30 September- All other university programmes
