Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Now Open for 2025 applications

Before you can submit your application at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), you first need to consider the following factors:

Requirements

Documents:

Check which documents are required of you and make copies of those documents. Visit the nearest police station and certify those documents. Application Fee:

You need to pay an application fee of R240 for your application to be considered at TUT. Good news is, you can apply and pay an application fee later but if you have not paid the fee yet, your application will not be processed. Once you have paid upload the slip to the TUT student portal. Tip: Keep the slip safe for future references.

 

How to apply at TUT for 2025

Applications to study at TUT for the 2025 academic year are submitted online. We have detailed every steps that you should take to apply online at Tshwane University of Technology.

  1. Visit TUT website: TUT website
  2. Click on the "Apply Now" tab
  3. Agree to application rules and proceed.
  4. Enter your biographical information and move to the next step.
  5. Enter academic results (including subjects) and proceed.
  6. Provide educational institution details and proceed.
  7. Choose your program choices (up to 2) using "Add Qualification" and proceed.
  8. Review your application and confirm details.
  9. Create a 5-digit PIN, accept terms, and submit your application.
  10. Upload all required documents.
  11. For each document: Click "Load/View Document" -> "Upload Document" -> locate and select your file -> "Save".
  12. Once uploaded, click "Complete Upload".
  13. Confirmation Page: Your application is complete!

 

TUT Closing Date:

Closing dates for applications are as follows: 

  • 15 May for courses that start in July of the same year
  • 15 June for Correctional Services Management, Dental Technology, Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics, Policing, Pharmacy and Radiography, Road Traffic and Municipal Police Management: Municipal and Traffic Policing
  • 15 June for all international applicants
  • 31 July for Agriculture: Animal Production, Agriculture: Commercial Mixed Farming, Agriculture: Crop Production, Agriculture: Development and Extension, Analytical Chemistry, Architecture: Professional, Dental Assisting, Biomedical Technology, Biokinetics, Biotechnology, Business Communication, Clinical Technology, Economic Management Analysis, Engineering: Civil, (B Tech's), Engineering: Chemical, Engineering: Metallurgical, Environmental Health, Fire Technology, Geology, International Communication, Journalism, Legal Assistance, Nature Conservation, Nursing, Officiating and Coaching Science, Project Management, Public Relations Management, Quality, Sport and Exercise Technology, Somatology, Three-Dimensional Design, Veterinary Technology.
  • 31 July for all qualifications at the Faculty of Arts and Design
  • 30 September for all other courses

 

After you have submitted an application to study at TUT, your application will be reviewed. TUT will notify you of the outcome of the application. Stay positive and hopeful. Remember to only apply for courses you qualify for.
